SUMMER STORYTIMES
Come share a special story at the farm with your favorite farm animals and storybook characters. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM we will offer entertaining storybook times. Books about animals, storybook characters, nursery rhymes and fairytales to delight the children. Come join in the FUN!!

SEPTEMBER 6-7: FALL GRAND OPENING WEEKEND CELEBRATION! Celebrate the start of the school season and the end of summer at our farm. Goats, sheep, cows, chicken, donkeys, ponies and horses all work on the farm.SEPTEMBER 13-14

SPINNERS
WEEKEND! DANIELA ANDERSON will show us fibers from raw to finished,
different types and qualities of wool and do spinning demonstrations. She will
delight us with her talents both days. Kids get a hands-on experience of the art
of spinning. Demonstrations
throughout both days.
SEPTEMBER
27-28
FARM-CITY
CELEBRATION WEEKEND. Join us Saturday (start your walk between
8:15 AM to 9:30 AM) for the HEALTHY HOWARD FAMILY WALK co-sponsored with the
Howard County Health Department. Take
a walk around the farm, enjoy refreshments and informational displays. Also
on Saturday, Howard County Library staff will present special storytimes at
the farm as part of the Farm-City Celebration. Storytimes will begin
at 11 AM and run at 15 minute intervals throughout the day ending by 4 PM.

TEDDY
BEAR FARM VISIT and PUMPKIN GROWING CONTEST WEIGH-IN!
Bring teddy bears! Free hayrides for all children who bring a Teddy Bear.
If you bring your own Teddy Bear, you can participate in the Teddy
Bear Contest at 1 PM and 3 PM Saturday and Sunday. Or you can bring a NEW Teddy Bear and donate it to the Pediatric Department of
the Howard County General Hospital. Folk
singing with TONY MCGUFFIN Noon-4 PM both days. Sunday is our PUMPKIN GROWING
CONTEST WEIGH-IN!! It’s time to see how big your pumpkins grew over the
summer. Bring your biggest pumpkin to the farm for weigh-in and display. The
winner will be announced on Sunday at 2 PM and will receive a special prize and
a season pass to the farm for 2009. Full contest rules available on our website.

OCTOBER 11-12
PUMPKINS, PUMPKINS, PUMPKINS!
Come to the pumpkin patch to get your Halloween pumpkins.
Take a hayride, take a pony ride, get your face painted. A great Fall
outing for the family.
OCTOBER 18-19
HARVEST CELEBRATION. A
great weekend to celebrate the beauty of Fall on our farm.
Pick a pumpkin, take a hay ride, enjoy a pony ride, get some cider and
facepainting.
OCTOBER 25-26
HALLOWEEN
WEEKEND. Costume Contest (11:00 AM and 2:00 PM) Saturday and Sunday. Prizes for all. Scarecrow
making and facepainting. Cider and pumpkins at our country store.
Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch!!
NOVEMBER 1-2
PUMPKIN
CHUCKING WEEKEND. In the spirit of
the season, let’s have some special fun with pumpkins!!
We have a specially-designed catapult that will launch your pumpkin
across the farm. Bring your own
pumpkin and let’s see how far it will go!
