 SPRING 2010 SCHEDULE of WEEKEND EVENTS

April 1 to November 7, 2010

10 AM to 4 PM Tuesday thru Sunday

(Also open Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Labor Day and all Mondays in October)

Available daily: petting farm, hay rides, pony rides, Enchanted Forest attractions and Enchanted Forest Maze, playground and play areas,  picnic area, country store  Birthday parties and tours also available.

APRIL 3-4, 2010   EGG HUNT WEEKEND.  Children in different age

groups (ages 1 to 3 and 4 to 6) will have a chance to hunt for eggs at

11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM on Saturday and 12 noon and 2 PM on Sunday.

    Please bring your own Easter baskets and we'll provide the fun!

APRIL 10-11, 2010  SHEEP DOG WEEKEND  Come see Border Collie

sheep herding demonstrations at 1:00 PM  on Saturday and Sunday

with our resident shepherd, JANET HARVEY.  Janet competes with

her dogs at herding contests throughout the country.  See how

               amazing the dogs are.

APRIL 17-18, 2010  ENCHANTED CHERRYBRATION  WEEKEND.

Celebrate Howard County’s “Cherrybration” at our farm with lots of

pink pizzazz. All children in a family will get a free hay ride if at

least one person in the family is dressed as a pink princess.  Children

may also dress up in princess gowns we have at the farm for a photo opportunity

with “Princess Cherrybella”.  On Saturday we will have a BLOSSOMS OF HOPE

family lantern-making workshop from 11 AM to 4 PM.  To round out our weekend

of activities, we will have a Truly Pink Treasure Hunt in the Enchanted Forest

MAZE on both days.  You will need to find 12 pink things in the  MAZE.  Think pink!!!

APRIL  24-25, 2010  BABY ANIMAL WEEKEND  Spring is in the air and

new babies abound at our farm.  Lambs, chicks, ducks, and kids (baby goats,

that is) will be here to entertain you.  Can you help us name our new babies. 

We will be doing farm animal crafts, too.  Come join in the fun.    

MAY 1-2, 2010  TEDDY BEAR FARM VISIT!  Free hayrides

for all children who bring a Teddy Bear.  If you bring your own

Teddy Bear, you can participate in the Teddy Bear Contest at 1 PM

and 3 PM Saturday and Sunday. Or you can bring a NEW Teddy Bear

and donate it to the Pediatric Department of the Howard County

General Hospital.  Folk singing with TONY MCGUFFIN Noon to 4 PM both days. 

MAY 8-9, 2010  MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND!   FREE hayrides for all mothers

accompanied by a child.    Happy Mother’s Day to all our wonderful mothers!!! 

Give Mom a treat and bring her to the farm to see the Enchanted Forest

attractions she loved as a child!  Take her into the MAZE, too.  

                                          A great family outing! 

MAY 15-16, 2010  GRANDPARENTS WEEKEND.   FREE

 hay rides for all grandparents accompanied by a child. 

 A great time to see the Enchanted Forest treasures you

                remember.  Enjoy the pine tree MAZE, too.

MAY 22-23, 2010   STORY TELLING CELEBRATION.  We will

delight children and adults with fairytales and stories about our

many animals throughout the day on Saturday. 

MAY 29-31, 2010 MEMORIAL WEEKEND. 

        Open Monday, Memorial Day, too.
